Betfair Casino Review

Established in 2000, Betfair is now the worlds biggest online betting company and is listed on the stock exchange. In 2016 they merged with Paddy Power to form Paddy Power Betfair. They now have live radio platforms that have live horse race commentaries along with odds and many other faces to the ever expanding online gambling network they have established.

Sign Up and Login

The home page of Betfair shows just how deeply they promote sports betting, for them it’s front and center. The main page is also very busy with a lot of options that can be a little distracting at first. The design and branding is simple, using their signature off-orange colour which is similar to Betsson but is recognizable enough on its own.

Registering didn’t come with any issues and they just asked the regular questions, which are for security and shouldn’t put anyone off from signing up since in the end, you want to have a secure account especially if you like to deposit large amounts. As soon as you fill the form in, you’ll be presented with a deposit limit screen which is a nice way of setting yourself limits so you’re never betting what you can’t afford to. Next you’ll be presented with the deposit screen, which is the usual order of things when you sign up to any casino. Altogether a nice smooth process with nothing to get in the way of getting to the fun.

Actual Player Experience

We care about checking all the features of an online casino website and a lot of times they come with other faces to the business, sports betting, bingo and others so during our Betfair review, knowing where their roots were, we knew we’d likely see the sports book pushed a lot. This was the case for the front page, after the login. It started us at the sports betting home page and we quickly moved over to the casino section. We were surprised, it’s actually a nicely designed casino section. The top of the page is a little cluttered with menu buttons and icons but it doesn’t get in the way too much because you’ll be staying in this section to play the casino games.

There’s a sliding image at the top of the page that’ll show the latest games/offers and promotions, but there’s not really a filter system to narrow down the game selection (if you happen to know exactly which game you’re looking for). For a new player that won’t be a problem because there’s a lot of games choose from but a veteran player won’t enjoy the feeling of not being able to easily find a game they exclusively want to play.

The player portal has absolutely no bells and whistles and just displays the information about your deposits and current funds and what your promotions are.

The Games

Betfair has games from over 25 providers, their selection is big, both for traditional casino games and for their live casino section. The game section looks good but the filter is very basic, only allowing you to narrow down your search by using the pre-set keywords they have set.

Player Base and Reputation

From our own experience with our Betfair review and then researching their whole business, it’s clear to see that Betfair is big but very well organised and trying to cater to the needs of its users by offering them just about every online gambling service that they can develop. From their own claims, they have around 4 million players, of which just over a million are active players. We know that casino companies usually inflate these figures (of course, which company doesn’t, it’s all about marketing) but we also know that they pay out really big winnings, spend a lot of money on marketing campaigns and have a very loyal customer base both at the sports book and casino, so we can deduce their active player numbers are in the hundreds of thousands.

There are few complaints against them with most of them being resolved and they have a customer support system that is available by live chat and phone. The positive reviews for them heavily outweigh any complaints against them. They have been in business for over 18 years and are still here which is a very good sign.

Betfair Bonuses

When we signed up to Betfair the first email we got wasn’t a verification email, it was a bonus email, but this one was more interesting than the usual ones we’re used to getting. Yes, it had a bonus welcome pack but it also had the odds of an upcoming football match with the date and time. Although it was information for their sports book business, it was different to a lot of welcome emails we usually get. Aside from this, bonuses will be delivered to your email periodically depending on which games you play which is common practice and appreciated. We’ll have the best bonus we could find somewhere in this review, either above or below, it’s the best deal we could find that gives you the most bonuses for your initial deposit.

Summary of Our Betfair Review

What’s clear is that Betfair is first and foremost a sports betting company, but that hasn’t stopped them from catering to all of their customers gambling needs. Their casino section isn’t basic and it looks quite nice, it’s laid out well and has a lot to offer, it’s just a shame that they didn’t add a better filtering system. They have a great reputation in the industry and keep innovating and offering their customers both loyal and novice, something new. Hopefully with time they will flesh out all of their sections accordingly, to make players feel like their preferred section is the focus. Betfair’s main advantage is that they have so much to offer, if you get tired of their casino game section, you can make a cheeky bet on a football match with just a few extra clicks, before grabbing a beer and relaxing using their live casino.
